We aim to foster children’s comprehensive development in terms of morality, intelligence, physique, social skills and aesthetics, including the aspects of morality, cognitive and language, physical and health, self and society, and art and creativity. The down-to-earth learning themes are closely related to children’s daily experience, cognition and interests, which allows children to experience and understand different situations, and strengthen their problem-solving skills.
Children discuss and decide the topic by themselves. They can learn the problem solving skills and being motivated to conduct self-learning through explorations, observations, discussions and implementations in the period.
The school cares about biliteracy and trilingualism, and activities are conducted in groups. Children interact and learn through stories, games, and handicrafts. The school will also organize activities such as English Showtime, Mandarin speech performance, English and Mandarin week etc. to strengthen children’s “listening, speaking, reading and writing” abilities in both Chinese and English.
Morality is vital to children’s development. Our school focuses on cultivating children’s morality, encouraging children to practice in daily life and build up positive character through Bible stories, role-play, and experience activities.
Sensory integration activities are involved and combined into physical fitness activities to develop children’s vision, hearing, touch, vestibule, and proprioception development, finally improving their concentration and physical coordination.
Exploration is one of the essential elements of playing. The school designs a variety of games based on children’s nature and in response to children’s life experience, interests and abilities, and lets children to join the free play time under a relaxing and effective learning environment, thereby enhancing children’s self-learning motivation.
When children play and learn at the activity corners, they may choose to adopt activities in different levels according to their interests and abilities to consolidate or improve their abilities. Through integrated learning activities, children can strengthen their language, numeracy, and skills. In addition, children can also decide the ways to interact with their peers, and show positive characteristics, such as helping each other and willingness to share.
